Job Description:
The Warehouse Manager under the CFA is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the warehouse in accordance with company policies and third-party logistics (3PL) standards. This includes inventory management, timely order processing, dispatch coordination, manpower management, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
Inventory Management:
Ensure accurate stock maintenance through physical verification and system updates.
Coordinate with the company's supply chain and sales team for inventory planning.
Monitor stock aging, damages, expiries, and take appropriate actions.
Inbound & Outbound Operations:
Supervise receipt of goods from suppliers or company.
Ensure timely dispatch of goods to distributors/retailers/customers as per company guidelines.
Maintain proper documentation (GRNs, Delivery Challans, Invoices, etc.)
Warehouse Operations:
Optimize warehouse layout for maximum efficiency and safety.
Ensure proper stacking, FIFO/FEFO implementation, and space utilization.
Maintain cleanliness and compliance with safety norms.
Manpower & Team Management:
Supervise warehouse staff and laborers; assign tasks and ensure productivity.
Conduct training for warehouse assistants, loaders, and other personnel.
Coordinate with outsourced labor agencies if applicable.
System & Reporting:
Use WMS/ERP systems (like SAP, Oracle, Tally, etc.) to manage operations.
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports for stock, dispatches, and inward receipts.
Report discrepancies and variances to the company promptly.
Compliance & Coordination:
Adhere to company SOPs, audit requirements, and statutory compliance.
Coordinate with company CFA coordinators, transporters, auditors, and vendors.
Maintain records for GST, e-way bills, and other logistics documentation as required.
Strong knowledge of warehouse operations and inventory control.
Familiarity with ERP/WMS systems.
Good leadership and team management skills.
Ability to handle pressure and work with deadlines.
Strong communication and coordination skills.
Basic understanding of tax and logistics regulations (GST, e-way bills, etc.)
Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Commerce, or a related field.
Certification in Warehouse or Inventory Management is a plus.
